I can't think of a better first blog than to encourage our great customers to share their Kilroy's stories with us. I have heard so many heartwarming stories of blind dates, marriage proposals, anniversaries, and the like. I could not do them justice by trying to re-tell them myself. We'd love to hear from you so get those creative juices flowing and start typing. All of us would love to hear your story.

I'll leave you the first one Annie. It was July 3 of last year. The bar was empty as everyone was down at the VP Fair awaiting the fireworks. We were all sitting around outside on the patio when a van drove up and the driver took an old woman out of the back on a gurney. She was on oxygen, could not speak, and she was his aunt. We gave them all sodas and chips and did whatever we could to make it as pleasant as we could for them. She had a front row seat for the fireworks and her own private bar. After the show, Art played some Bobby Darin just for her and her eyes lit up. I will always treasure that memory.

I was not there for that and I am so sorry I missed that! I remember you guys telling me about it and how the woman did not have much longer to live, and her family wanted her to be able to see a magnificent view of the fireworks, but there wasn't anywhere they could go bc she was bedridden. One of my favorite memories of all time was when Fredbird came and danced on the bar, that was a night to remember! Also when Jake Peavey danced on the bar and bought drinks and shots for the whole bar. He may have played for the Pirates at the time I believe, but he was a class act. And of course going to the world series three times since we opened, was so memorable and amazing atmosphere to be around. So much fun over the years, I could go on all night about how much fun we have there!

I have to say, Kilroy's is one of my favorite places to check out while I'm in the downtown area. The staff is extremely friendly and the general atmosphere of the bar is great! The bar was not at any point too crowded to put you outside of your comfort zone but you could tell the people who were there liked it just as much as I did! The drinks were very reasonably priced especially for being so close to the ballpark. If you're looking for a casual atmosphere without all of the big crowds that ballpark village draws I would definitely recommend this bar! Kudos to you Kilroys!
